White Lives Don’t Matter Part 3 – Is It A Fluke?

Competing Interests Have To Be Balanced?

Oh, I love the smell of vindication in the morning! Last week, Megyn Kelly of FOXNews ranted poetically about President Obama not commenting on the Karen Steinle death at the hands of an undocumented worker.  I wrote:

Really??? The bloviating, blonde bimbo [Megyn Kelly] is comparing the death of Kathryn Steinle to those of Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and Freddie Gray? Black lives matter in the context of racism and White Privilege. White lives do not matter in the context of racism and White Privilege. Steinle’s death might matter in the context of gun control, but not in the manner in which her death is being exploited by the Conservative press. If Steinle was a lesbian or bisexual, or transgender person, then her death would matter in those contexts. If Steinle had been killed by an abusive boyfriend, a Christian extremist, or a white NFL football player, then her life would matter in those contexts. If a Confederate flag and pole had fallen on her, and crushed her to death, then her life would matter.

Tonight her royal white highness, with Ann Coulter in tow, proved my point!

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly and author Ann Coulter blasted President Barack Obama Wednesday for not reaching out to the family of Kate Steinle over the past two weeks after she was murdered by an illegal immigrant who was deported five times previously.

The main point of contention from the pair, especially Kelly, was over the people Obama has reached out to during his six and a half years in the White House, with the host pointing specifically to Sandra Fluke.

“Now they come out tonight and say that they really couldn’t do it. They didn’t have time and, you know, the president doesn’t reach out to everybody,” Kelly said. “And we are looking back over the list of people that the president has contacted. It includes this woman, who he felt was wrongly attacked.”

Kelly then played video of Fluke talking to MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell after Obama called her while she was in the green room at the “Lean Forward” network. Fluke got the call after she was attacked by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh after she caused a stir with lawmakers in 2012 over her stance that insurance plans should cover birth control.

There is more at the link above. Ann Coulter gets in on the action, too.  But DUH!, dumb blondes! Isn’t that just what I said last week? That Kathryn Steinle’s death should be considered in context. And that is why President Obama has not contacted the family, or commented on the death, or sent the DOJ in. Sandra Fluke was important because of the context of her injury— her feelings were hurt by Rush Limbaugh’s remarks in the context of the GOP’s War on Women.

Kathryn Steinle, on the other hand, is just a run of the mill murder victim. And, as I have said before, we must not let ourselves be fooled into treating a white murder victim in the same manner we treat Black murder victims. If white lives matter, too,  then everybody’s life is equally valuable, and there would be no reason to even say, Black lives matter. That would be the very essence of White Privilege!

The same thing goes for victims like Sandra Fluke, a casualty of the War on Women!

Yours, very truly,

Mick “Spin” Dumdell

You are right! I just went there and checked! All his posts disappeared, too. Maybe they are mad about him moonlighting here? Or maybe they are embarrassed about that whole involuntary commitment thing? They should not hold mental problems against him, particularly when he was released by the judge..

    • One of my secret sources says that Dumdell is going to start his own blog, and transfer his posts over to it. That is what is taking him a little time to do. That’s the gossip. Whether it is true or not, who knows. He is supposedly trying to think of a good name, so I suggest maybe “Blowviations” or “The Windbag” or maybe something with “navel” and “gazing” in it. Or if he really wants a good name, maybe “Left Behind”— you know like you could take it two ways, one being a “liberal butt”.

Because I am always trying to be helpful! 🙂

    • In fairness to him, he could post here without changing a thing, and fit right in! Squeeky says he is starting his own blog, and I wish him luck. He seems like one of those who would pop if he had to hold it in. The Confederate flag thing seems to have sent him over the top. As a matter of fact, the whole blog seems flag obsessed.

I strongly suspect that Pansies is the motivation behind the upcoming changes to the blog. 🙂
