Rethinking My Support For The Iran Nuclear Deal!

By Mick “Spin” Dumdell

The Real Time To Duck And Cover!

I may have to reconsider my support for the Iran Nuclear Deal. While it is true that the agreement assures us that Iran will not manufacture nuclear weapons, it accomplishes absolutely nothing in the way of international gun control! This was made evident in this story from Breitbart:

In his speech on Saturday, during which he derided the “arrogant U.S. government” and made his first public comments on the agreement over Iran’s nuclear program, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was holding what appeared to be an assault rifle, yet no mainstream media outlet thought to mention it.

Journalists from the Associated Press, Reuters, Agence France-Presse and The New York Times offered analysis of Khamenei’s words, as well as other circumstantial commentary, mostly in praise of what they portrayed as a victory of the Obama administration, but not one made even a passing reference to the presence of a rifle in the leader’s hand or its significance.

The Ayatollah’s official website, on the other hand, drove the point home by posting a closeup photo taken of the gun from beside the podium, which even showed the magazine sticking out.

What is the point of controlling nuclear weapons when nobody has been killed by one of those since 1945? The real eminent danger to all of us is from GUNS! Trayvon Martin was not killed by a nuclear bomb. Neither was Michael Brown. Those precious Black lives were taken by GUNS! Thousands more will die this year from GUNS!

The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei isn’t just holding a GUN! He’s rubbing the deal in America’s face by holding an ASSAULT RIFLE! The deadliest of all GUNS! President Obama needs to go back to the table to discuss doing something about the real danger. If he wants to keep us safe, do something about GUNS!

Yours very truly,

Mick “Spin” Dumdell

The sainted Trayvon Martin tried to kill his opponent by beating it into a concrete sidewalk. The sainted Michael Brown tried to steal a police officer’s gun and then was killed. What Obama needs to work on is the stupidity of the youth of America.

BTW, no one has been killed since 1945 because of MAD

    • Mick Dumdell says:

Good! You can count! That has been 70 years! That is exactly what I meant. Why worry about nukes when it is GUNS! that kill people? More people have been killed by guns than were ever killed by nukes! High fructose corn syrup has killed more people than nukes!

I can’t wait to see Dumdell’s polemic when he reappears from his Catskill’s cabin. For a guy who fashions himself a new ager, Dumdell has a house in Florida and spends summer in the Borscht Belt. So 1950’s!

    • I wonder if he was able to retrieve all his blog posts, or whether they were “disappeared” when he left the site??? There was this, and I have altered the names to protect the stupid:

[The major dumbass here] has resigned. He resigned in such a way that indicated he wanted a total break with [Fodder For Stupidity]. He will not be returning. As that is the case, his copyrighted works (all authors here own their material) will no longer be distributed through or archived on this site. If you wish to follow [the idiot’s] work, I’m sure he’ll be appearing soon at a venue near you. We wish him the best.

Sooo, IF that happened, I sure hope there will be a lawsuit and all kinds of fussing and fighting! Is that wrong of me??? 🙂

    Oh look, a new author:

“Nona Blyth Cloud has lived and worked in the Los Angeles area for the past 45 years, spending much of that time commuting on the 405 Freeway. After Hollywood failed to appreciate her genius for acting and directing, she began a second career managing non-profits, from which she retired last year.

Nona has now resumed writing whatever comes into her head, instead of reports and pleas for funding. She lives in a small house overrun by books with her wonderful husband and a bewildered Border Collie. You can also find Nona Cloud at DailyKos where she is one of the hosts of their popular “Morning Open Thread” feature.”

    I. Just. Can’t.

The blog has jumped the shark. There is a paucity of women commenting and blogging there. I think Clod is probably a tranny.
